Imagine, you’re a Maurice Jones-Drew owner, and you see him streaking towards an easy TD that will help you take the lead, or at least get a nice cushion in your fantasy matchup. But no, he does the smart thing and “Pulls A Westbrook” by taking a knee at the one yard line. This allows his team to kill the clock and boot a gimme field goal with no time left for the other team to come back.
Smart, MJD, real smart. It helped your team win (of course, I’d have laughed hellaciously if the FG had been missed or blocked), but you screwed your fantasy owners in the process. At least he apologized to his owners. Which is small consolation when they lose to some schlep because their top three pick decided to get cute.
