With the proliferation of Twitter amongst professional athletes, you just know something bad is going to happen eventually. We here at SportPops, being all web-savvy and such, are on the lookout for Twittering gone awry so that we may share with you, our reader.
Today’s Twit is the always articulate and hardcore Larry Johnson of the Kansas City Chiefs. When he’s not beating up women in nightclubs, wearing diapers, getting suspended by his team, or running for a 2.7 yards-per-carry average, he’s on Twitter acting all studio gangsta. This week, after another loss in which he had an admirable effort of 16 carries for 49 yards and one catch for seven yards, ol’ LJ had had enough of obviously carrying this team on his back, and had the following nuggets on his Twitter regarding coach Todd Haley and his staff…
When pressed by a follower about these comments, Mr. Johnson, realizing the firestorm he might be causing, decided to defuse the situation a bit…
The [expletive] was apparently a three-letter derogatory term used for homosexuals, likely fag or gay (at SportPops, we don’t believe in political correctness or censorship, you want your stories raw, raw like Larry Johnson so obviously is). And Christoper Street is a well-known gay street in New York. Besides being an extremely well-spoken individual. Mr. Johnson is right. Todd Haley has done nothing in 7 games as the coach of the Chiefs, and LJ’s Pro Bowl-caliber season and outstanding off-field behaviour are just going to waste. And if you’re going to step to Larry Johnson, he of the hard knock life as the son of a high school vice-principal and college football defensive line coach, with his Bachelor of Arts diploma from Penn State University, you’d better come correct and not bother a real man’s man like Larry Johnson with your less than masculine Twitter pic. No, sir. THIS is what you come with…

Hell yeah.
