And You Think The Refs Stink Here…

Soccer certainly is a Beautiful Game, isn’t it?

I don’t know what’s better: the sheer incompetence of the refs, or the vigilante justice that the other team inflicts on the “goal scorer.” Guess it proves once again that there is no justice like angry mob justice.

Maybe it’s time to have more than one referee on the field. There’s too much diving, shirt-tugging, and general overall cheating going on in soccer anymore for one official to catch it all. Heck, hockey went to two refs and two linesmen on a lot smaller playing area with a lot less people. Other 11 or more player sports have multiple officials as well, what the heck is FIFA waiting for? Are they afraid that too many fancy neon jerseys on the pitch will make the game difficult to watch? I know I can barely keep up with all the nil-nil draws, offside traps, and 100-pass offensive sequences as it is.
